Canal FOX is the Latin American version of the American channel FOX. It was launched on October 15, 1993. The channel is mainly oriented towards family audiences, unlike its sister channel FX. Though it is a Portuguese and Spanish-language channel, the shows are referred to by their original names (except for The Simpsons). The channel took part in the worldwide premiere of The Walking Dead on November 1, 2010 and the Zombie Invasion Event promotion that led up to it. After the final episode of the first season of The Walking Dead aired, Fox released the uncensored version of the first episode.
